Job Overview

A Bilingual Healthcare Coordination Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing the patient experience within a medical facility. This position encompasses a range of responsibilities tailored to meet the needs of the practice, including managing communications, scheduling appointments, and overseeing patient documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize appointments for new patients, ensuring all necessary records are collected and appropriately filed before their visit.
  • Handle incoming calls and direct them to the appropriate staff.
  • Manage the routing of incoming documents and faxes.
  • Conduct patient interviews to complete necessary forms.
  • Welcome patients upon arrival, ensuring all documentation is prepared for their visit.
  • Collaborate with referral and authorization personnel as needed prior to patient appointments.
  • Assist office staff to foster a supportive and positive environment for patients.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the office manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a professional office setting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience within a clinical environment.
  • Understanding of medical terminology.
  • Experience with insurance verification processes.

Work Environment:

This role is situated within a healthcare clinic setting.

Physical Requirements:

The position necessitates a full range of motion. Regular activities include sitting, walking, standing, conversing in person and via telephone, and using hands for repetitive tasks. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds is also required.
