Your Role as a Home Health Aide - Certified Nursing Assistant
- Provide essential personal care services to patients in their homes, including assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility.
- Monitor vital signs such as temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respiration, accurately recording observations and reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professional.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Prepare and assist with meals, ensuring patients receive proper nutrition and hydration.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to create a comfortable and hygienic living space for patients.
- Assist patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurses or therapists, promoting their physical well-being and recovery.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, providing updates on patient status and addressing concerns.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current state certification as a nurse assistant.
- Recent experience (within the last two years) as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a home health setting.
- Successful completion of a competency program specific to the care center.
- Current CPR certification.
