Job Summary

The Clackamas County Health Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to provide exceptional patient care and support to our healthcare team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering routine medical assistance, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for medical procedures by taking vital signs, recording health information, and setting up exam rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Assist healthcare providers with delegated tasks, such as routine medical procedures, laboratory tests, and administrative duties.
  • Collect and process laboratory specimens, perform routine diagnostic tests, and record results in patient records.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic information, medical history, and treatment plans.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries, and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

  • Current certification/registration as a Medical Assistant by a nationally recognized program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
  • Ability to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and a criminal history check.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in primary family care and/or pediatric care clinic.

Work Schedule

This position works 40 hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Friday. The CMA will be scheduled 8AM-5PM four days of the week and will be scheduled 10AM-7PM one day of the week.
