About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Roadway Engineer II to join our team at Parsons Company. As a key member of our Critical Infrastructure team, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering critical infrastructure projects that connect and protect communities around the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and/or supervise the creation of contract documents for transportation projects, ensuring they meet client quality requirements.
  • Analyze design issues and provide detailed design solutions that satisfy client needs.
  • Deliver products consisting of detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses.
  • Support other discipline activities as necessary.
  • Mentor young staff members and provide performance input.
  • Develop skill sets to lead project development in the future.
  • Provide technical guidance to young engineers and CAD Designer/Drafters on project.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with road engineering.
  • Experience in developing 3D finite elements models.
  • DOT Road and wall design experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members in completion of project tasks.
  • Provide training and lead technical discussions related to roadway engineering.
  • DOT pre-certified in Road and culvert design.
  • EIT or PE preferred.
