Melrose Wakefield Hospital, a member of Tufts Medicine, is seeking a per diem or part-time Inpatient Adult Psychiatrist to join our well-established unit. Our team is dedicated to providing innovative care and best practices, led by Dr. Daniel Carlat, publisher of the Carlat Psychiatry Report.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnoses, and treatment for patients with a variety of psychiatric diagnoses, including admission evaluations.
- Work with nurse practitioners, nursing, and other clinical staff in the delivery of patient care.
- Provide weekend coverage on a rotating basis within the call coverage group.
- May provide supervision to medical students and residents.
- May be eligible for a faculty appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree or foreign equivalent medical degree and completion of a four-year general psychiatry residency.
- Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in General Adult Psychiatry, or by a comparable foreign national certifying organization.
- Possess a full license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Possess or be eligible to obtain a Massachusetts Controlled Substance Registration and Federal DEA Certificates.
