Economic Development Project Manager

About the Role:
The City of Mesa, AZ is seeking a highly skilled Economic Development Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our economic development team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing economic development project activities. This includes coordinating, directing, and implementing programs and projects that support commercial, office, and industrial development, workforce development, and the attraction of domestic and international businesses.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and manage economic development projects and programs
• Develop and implement strategies to support commercial, office, and industrial development
• Work with stakeholders to identify and pursue business opportunities
• Analyze data and make recommendations to improve economic development outcomes
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective project implementation
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Economic Development, Public or Business Administration, Commercial Real Estate, Urban Planning, Marketing, or a related field
• 5+ years of progressively responsible work experience in economic development, redevelopment, marketing, commercial real estate development, business assistance, public facility, infrastructure development, or workforce development
• Valid Class D Arizona Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's degree in Public or Business Administration, Economic Development, Commercial Real Estate, Planning, or a related field
• Membership in related professional organizations
• Ability to speak a second language
• Certification as a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD)
