About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Land Manager to join our team at Dream Finders Homes. As a key member of our land development team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of land development projects to achieve quality, timing, and budget specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Budgeting and Scheduling: Manage project budgets, schedules, cash flow, and development trades in accordance with Division goals.
  • Government Agency Coordination: Coordinate with municipalities and other government agencies from entitlement to final acceptance.
  • Trade Bidding and Contracting: Manage trade bidding and contracting efforts to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Design Document Review: Review design documents, site plans, improvement plans, and plats for project coordination and accuracy.
  • Utility Coordination: Check availability and location of all utilities, including sanitary sewer, water, gas, and storm management, and assess the cost involved in gaining access to these utilities as well as any development impact fees.
  • Compliance Management: Manage field efforts related to storm water and air pollution compliance.
  • Contractor and Engineer Coordination: Coordinate contractors, inspectors, engineers, and master developers to ensure project progress and quality.
  • Investment Package Creation: Create investment packages for internal land committee meetings and prospective investors.
  • Due Diligence: Perform due diligence procedures for potential land acquisitions.
  • Financial Modeling: Create and maintain detailed financial models that accurately reflect a project's expected profitability and returns.
Requirements
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Possess exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Education and Experience: Hold a Bachelor's degree or college experience in a relevant field.
  • Presentation and Leadership Skills: Be comfortable presenting ideas and solutions to leadership and key business partners.
  • Attention to Detail: Possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Relationship Building: Be able to establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Be proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license.
