Job Summary

As a Regional Service Manager at Bio-Rad, you will lead and manage a team of field service engineers, performing routine travel within the region to work with and evaluate the engineers. You will build relationships with customers and sales teams, and interface with senior management and peers to manage workload. This role requires 50% travel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and effective delivery of customer site service in the given region for life science and clinical diagnostic products.
  • Ensure compliance with company and regulatory policy.
  • Accountable for revenue and expenses against budget.
  • Act as a customer advocate in resolving field support related issues.
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and work closely with sales reps and managers.
  • Work closely with peers and share resources when needed to ensure company goals are met.
  • Responsible for field resource utilization.
  • Work with partners in Technical Support and Support Operations to plan and implement product training.
  • Evaluate performance, write reviews, and provide feedback to direct reports on an ongoing basis.
  • Active in recruiting and retaining talent.
Requirements
  • Education: Associates/Bachelors Degree in technical discipline or equivalent.
  • Work Experience: 10 years management or technical leadership experience in the Diagnostics or Scientific Products business. Must have a proven track record in providing a high level of on-site customer service.
  • Skills: Strong management leadership skills. Good customer relation and communication skills, both written and oral. Advanced computer skills. Ability to evaluate, coach/mentor, and recruit talent.

Compensation

The estimated base salary range for this position is $110,300 to $151,700 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
