Job Summary

Certec Consulting is seeking an experienced Enterprise Hardware Engineer to provide technical expertise in hardware solutions that strengthen the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware Solutions Implementation: Implement reliable hardware and AV solutions that maintain the integrity of our existing infrastructure and meet customer objectives.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team to establish synergies with IT peers across the enterprise.
Core Accountabilities
  • Business and Technical Requirements: Gather business and technical requirements for hardware solutions in the hardware and AV space.
  • Existing Implementations and Evaluations: Support existing implementations and partner on evaluations of new technology with the AV Operations team.
  • AV Equipment Standards: Set and maintain standards of AV Equipment for various conference room sizes and configurations.
  • Hardware Configurations and Systems Specifications: Make decisions around hardware configurations, computer images, and systems specifications.
  • Complex Platform Design and Implementation: Coordinate and lead the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support for multiple complex platforms of large size and complexity.
Key Responsibilities
  • Business Requirements Evaluation and Recommendation: Evaluate business requirements and recommend hardware that enhances availability, reliability, scalability, and security while driving down total cost of ownership.
  • Hardware Deployment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware deployments (Bios/firmware/drivers).
  • Enterprise Standards and Procedures: Design and document enterprise standards and procedures.
  • Platform and System Conformance: Ensure platforms/systems conform to established enterprise/industry standards and reference models.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support, as needed, to the enterprise.
  • Engineering Solution Documentation: Create detailed documentation for all engineering solutions.
  • Hardware Lifecycle Management: Maintain hardware lifecycle across a large enterprise with over 100k devices.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Manage existing and new vendor relationships for hardware partners in the AV and hardware industry.
Requirements
  • Work Experience: 3 years of progressively responsible work experience specifically in Enterprise Endpoint Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and/or AV Solutions.
  • Complex Solution Integration Experience: 3 years of experience with integrating multiple complex solutions into one standard enterprise solution.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Technical Expertise: Working knowledge of Teams Admin Center, Teams Room Pro Management Portal, VMWare Workspace ONE, Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM), and Primary component functionality and interoperability of AV Equipment, laptops, desktops, displays, printers, etc.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management, capable of successful formal and informal communication at the appropriate level.
  • Teamwork: Works well in a collaborative setting, acting as a positive team member by contributing to discussions and maintaining both formal and informal relationships enterprise-wide.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrates a commitment to increasing knowledge and skills in providing architecture, engineering, and operations direction and support of end-user device management in a large enterprise.

  • Client Management Tools: HP Client Management Tools (HPIA/CMSL/MIK), Dell Command Suite.
  • WebJet Admin Portal: WebJet Admin Portal.
