  • Utilize advanced skills to diagnose issues and implement solutions that enhance the reliability, scalability, performance, and efficiency of our services.
  • Address, investigate, and resolve service challenges from the hardware level through the operating system to application code, including complex technical issues across various domains.
  • Collaborate with the team to establish and enforce best practices and standards throughout the organization.
  • Engage with vendors to troubleshoot hardware and software issues.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, providing continuous support and maintenance during off-hours.
  • Assist scientific and technical users in utilizing Kubernetes effectively.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience.
  • A minimum of five years of pertinent technical experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Over 5 years of experience in a role such as SRE, Systems Administrator, or Systems Engineer.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with image registries like Quay or Harbor.
  • Understanding of concepts related to networked computing environments.
  • Proficient knowledge of Unix systems fundamentals and common networking protocols.
  • Capability to develop and maintain scripts and programs that facilitate operational tasks using various shell and scripting languages (primarily bash, Python, and Go).
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Nagios, and Grafana for system metrics and dashboard creation.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform, Helm, and Puppet.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD processes and GitOps methodologies.
  • Experience with code review processes and tools such as git, GitHub, and GitLab.
