The Bridging Divides Initiative (BDI) at Princeton University is seeking a highly skilled Manager of Operations to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day activities of our organization, ensuring the smooth functioning of our operations, and contributing to the achievement of our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing and Hiring: Manage the hiring process, including recruitment, job description development, application review, and interview processes.
  • Organizational Systems and Processes: Identify operational needs and implement solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Procurement: Lead the procurement process, including vendor onboarding, agreement processing, and invoice tracking.
  • Project Management: Develop and implement project management standards and norms, and support the tracking of activities, impact, and deadlines.
  • People Management: Manage 2-4 direct reports, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Organizational Culture: Contribute to the development of our organizational culture, including the implementation of processes and programs to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • 7-10 years of experience in operations management and/or human resources.
  • Strong systems orientation and ability to navigate complex organizational structures.
  • Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-reliance, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Superior project management skills and ability to interface with various departments and stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in people management and influencing direct reports and teams.
  • Background in procurement processes within large academic or organizational institutions.
  • Familiarity with remote work tools and experience working on a remote team.
  • Masters degree in a related field.
