Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team at Lightbend. As a key member of our sales engineering team, you will be responsible for advising and assisting software developers, architects, and product owners to recommend solutions based on customer requirements and constraints.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales representatives and sales management to build strategies to drive sales into strategic accounts.
  • Collaborate with clients to advise on how to integrate elements of the Lightbend stack into their environment.
  • Develop and deliver customer-centric presentations, demos, and solution designs.
  • Provide sales support to sales representatives, marketing, product management, and engineering teams.
  • Represent Lightbend at industry forums, conferences, and related events.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of proven experience with Java or Scala is a must, with experience in Akka or developing reactive systems being an advantage.
  • Working knowledge of Cloud Native Infrastructure, including Kubernetes.
  • Experience in distributed and event-driven systems programming paradigm, with the ability to articulate the differences in legacy systems to customers.
  • Good understanding of modern development practices, including DevOps, containers, container orchestration, and CICD.
  • Voracious learner, ready to take on new technologies and techniques quickly and constantly.
  • Certifications in Google Cloud, Azure, or AWS are an advantage.
