About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Senior Solutions Architect to join our team at iSpace. As a member of our Technical Solutions Division, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining on-premises and cloud native applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in improving our SDLC, Engineering, and DevOps practices.
  • Develop both front-end and back-end solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain solutions, and provide technical guidance to other team members.
  • Participate in creating SDLC, Architecture, Design, and Coding standards.
  • Identify complex business problems and participate in generating solutions.
  • Identify performance issues, analyze root causes, and participate in performance improvement activities.
  • Participate in remedying compliance issues.
  • Document and communicate problems, designs, and solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7+ years of software development experience, including UI and backend development.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of solution architecture experience.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with Cloud Solution Architecture, preferably with Azure.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience with Microservices Architecture.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience designing REST APIs.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience designing in the context of workflows and rules.
  • Experience with designing using containers and container orchestration platform (AKS) and other relevant technologies.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience designing asynchronous/event-driven and synchronous systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with databases and data modeling/design (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience incorporating security into the application architecture.
  • Experience working in a fully DevOps-enabled environment.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Large application design and implementation experience, including architecture and design of modern web, mobile, and integration (cloud/on-premises) platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Extensive experience with API management toolsets, DevOps, server infrastructure, network infrastructure, caching methodologies, information security, and database technologies.
  • Proven track record in generating alternative solution approaches and driving a pragmatic trade-off solution.
  • Proven track record of optimizing development activities with a strong focus on DevOps and automation.
  • Solid experience with DDD, TDD, and BDD, and ability to direct and guide the team through these approaches.
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies and evaluate for fitness into a specific business context through POCs and other evaluations.
  • Deep experience with reviewing code and suggesting refactoring for performance, quality, and maintainability.
  • Experience with designing APIs, scaling, and securing them.
  • Ability to integrate with internal and external systems and secure those integrations.
  • Experience integrating systems and applications with CRM systems like Salesforce.
  • Ability to operate and guide the team in all areas of the technology stack - front, middle tier, and backend.
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and evaluate for fit into a specific business context through POCs and other evaluations.
  • Ability to review code and suggest refactoring for performance, quality, and maintainability.
