Position Overview

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned HR business partner eager to oversee HR operations for the sales and corporate divisions at a thriving asset management organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this position serves as the primary HR liaison for the sales and corporate sectors at The TCW Group. This is a proactive role where the individual will be tasked with aligning organizational goals with HR strategies, crafting and executing HR initiatives, and offering counsel and support on various HR matters. The selected candidate will also function as a change agent and trusted advisor for both business leaders and employees.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong player/coach mentality, adept at cultivating effective relationships with managers and employees throughout the organization, and will be influential in guiding the team through transitions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with leaders and managers to comprehend business strategies and objectives while identifying HR implications and opportunities.
  • Design and implement HR solutions that align with business goals and foster a positive culture.
  • Provide coaching and constructive feedback to managers and employees on HR-related issues, including organizational design, recruitment, performance management, talent assessment and development, compensation, and workplace culture.
  • Facilitate the talent review process and promote the development and retention of high-potential and high-performing employees.
  • Oversee the performance management cycle, ensuring that feedback is equitable, balanced, and focused on development.
  • Support initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement and retention, while monitoring levels of employee satisfaction.
  • Lead and manage change initiatives, assisting the business in navigating organizational transformations.
  • Engage in HR projects and initiatives that align with the HR strategy and business priorities.
  • Champion a culture of inclusion and cultivate a respectful and positive work environment.
  • Stay informed on HR trends and best practices, providing insights and recommendations to both the HR function and business units.
  • Analyze HR data and metrics, offering insights and recommendations to enhance employee engagement, productivity, and retention.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Establish strong relationships with the leadership team and HR counterparts, acting as an effective partner to the team and business; collaborate with HR colleagues on initiatives to deliver high-quality HR services across the organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.
  • 10+ years of experience in an HR business partner role or a similar capacity.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of HR functions and processes, including compensation, performance management, talent development, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, organizational design, and change management.
  • Prior experience in investment management, financial services, or a comparable professional services environment is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in additional HR functional areas such as compensation, talent management, or talent development is highly preferred.
Compensation Overview

Base Salary: For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $200k to $230k. This range is indicative only.

Additional Compensation: Eligible for consideration for an annual discretionary bonus.
