POSITION SUMMARY

The HVAC Sales Specialist serves as a key representative for AC's Heating & Air. This position focuses on providing exceptional, high-quality service in residential HVAC sales. The specialist will engage with clients in their residences to assess their heating and cooling requirements and propose tailored solutions to enhance their comfort.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Understand and fulfill client needs while achieving the minimum sales targets outlined.
  • Treat leads as valuable assets:
    • Maintain a closing ratio of 75% or higher on technician-generated leads.
    • Achieve a closing ratio of 50% or higher on marketed leads.
    • Ensure a closing ratio of 25% or higher on retail leads.
    • Maintain an average sale price of $8,450 or higher across all leads.
  • Arrive punctually for appointments, with the first call no later than 9:00 AM.
  • If decision-makers are unavailable, conduct a partial survey and reschedule for when all are present.
  • Complete a Comfort Survey and Home Analysis during every visit.
  • Provide proposals to homeowners during 95% of visits.
  • Prepare and present home energy improvement proposals in person.
  • Sell HVAC products while adhering to company standards and sales expectations.
  • Understand and present financing options from approved companies.
  • Follow-up on all sales leads and customer inquiries diligently.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service, managing the sales process from presentation to installation and follow-up.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and promptly, ensuring all financing documentation is handled correctly.
  • Develop customized options for clients that align with their needs and budgets.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the products and services offered.
  • Engage in self-improvement activities, dedicating at least two hours weekly to sales-related learning.
  • Utilize Rehash Leads for every call that does not result in a sale.
  • Conduct daily activities with integrity and a positive attitude towards team members.
  • Debrief every call with the Sales Leadership Committee immediately.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Self-motivated and reliable, with flexible availability.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities.
  • Proficient in using smartphones and tablets.
  • Willingness to travel for training as needed.
  • Basic or advanced trade experience is preferred.
  • Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Associate Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience is required.
  • A valid state driver's license and a clean driving record are essential.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions and equipment.
  • Ability to work in elevated areas.
