The Logistics Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and streamlining our supply chain processes and inventory oversight. This position is essential for ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently by coordinating logistics activities, managing inventory systems, and guaranteeing timely delivery of equipment to field personnel. The ideal candidate will possess outstanding organizational and communication skills, a solid grasp of logistics and inventory management, and the capability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Inventory Coordination: Strategically plan and monitor the shipment of equipment to meet operational requirements. Collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to facilitate logistics activities.
  • Inventory Oversight: Manage and supervise equipment inventory levels and shipments to ensure alignment with production schedules and customer demands. Conduct routine inventory assessments.
  • Logistics Systems Optimization: Leverage logistics software to enhance operational procedures. Ensure effective utilization of logistics IT systems to track shipments, inventory status, and supply chain functions. Oversee daily logistics operations, including transportation and warehouse management, while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and ISO standards. Generate precise reports for senior management and maintain comprehensive records of orders, invoices, and shipments. Familiarity with logistics processes involving hazardous materials is advantageous. Contribute to the development of logistics policies and procedures.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve challenges related to logistics operations. Implement contingency strategies as needed and troubleshoot issues concerning transportation, logistics systems, and vendor relations.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Partner closely with the logistics team, procurement department, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance processes and resolve operational challenges. Work with cross-functional teams to integrate logistics with broader business systems.
  • Analytical Improvement: Evaluate all facets of corporate logistics to identify the most cost-effective and efficient methods for transporting products and supplies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, planning, scheduling, and project management capabilities, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a keen attention to detail and prompt follow-up.
  • Ability to work remotely and effectively coordinate with a fully remote team.
  • Proficient in utilizing technology for data management, inventory tracking, and communication.
  • Physical capability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside standard business hours.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and client relationship management abilities.
  • Associate's degree or higher in operations, engineering, logistics, project management, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in operations with a focus on inventory management and logistics.
  • Experience in project management within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment is preferred.
  • Able to thrive in a high-energy workplace.
  • Familiarity with logistics processes is essential.
