The Logistics Coordinator plays a pivotal role in managing and streamlining our supply chain operations and inventory control. This position is vital for ensuring the seamless flow of operations by coordinating and supervising logistics activities, managing inventory systems, and guaranteeing the timely distribution of resources to our teams in the field. The ideal candidate will exhibit outstanding organizational and communication abilities, possess a robust understanding of logistics and inventory practices, and demonstrate the capacity to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Inventory Coordination: Strategically plan and monitor the shipment of equipment based on operational needs. Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective logistics management.
  • Inventory Oversight: Supervise and maintain equipment inventory levels, ensuring alignment with production timelines and customer demands. Conduct regular audits to uphold inventory accuracy.
  • Logistics Systems Optimization: Leverage logistics software to enhance operational procedures. Ensure the proficient use of IT systems for tracking shipments, inventory status, and supply chain activities. Manage daily logistics operations, including transportation and warehouse functions, while prioritizing safety and quality.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and ISO standards. Generate precise reports for management review and maintain comprehensive records of orders, invoices, and shipments. Familiarity with logistics processes involving hazardous materials is advantageous.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively address and resolve challenges related to logistics operations. Develop and implement contingency plans as required, and manage issues concerning transportation, imports, exports, or third-party shipping vendors.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Engage closely with the logistics team, procurement department, and other relevant stakeholders to enhance processes and resolve operational challenges. Work alongside other operational teams to integrate logistics with broader business systems.
  • Analytical Improvement: Evaluate all facets of corporate logistics to identify the most cost-effective and efficient transportation methods for products and supplies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational, planning, scheduling, and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and prompt follow-up.
  • Capability to work remotely and effectively coordinate with a fully remote team.
  • Proficient in utilizing technology for data management, inventory tracking, and communication.
  • Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to occasionally work outside standard business hours.
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and client relationship management skills.
  • Associate's degree or higher in operations, engineering, logistics, project management, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience in operations with a focus on inventory management and logistics.
  • Experience in project management within a fast-paced, cross-functional environment is preferred.
  • Able to thrive in a high-energy workplace.
  • Familiarity with logistics processes is essential.
