Job Overview

Hatch Global Search is seeking a highly skilled Automation and Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated control systems to optimize manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop automated control systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Program and troubleshoot PLCs, Human Machine Interfaces, vision, and data acquisition systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions.
  • Develop and maintain electrical and pneumatic schematics, and ensure compliance with NFPA79/NEC/UL508A/CE standards.
  • Provide technical training and support to manufacturing, maintenance, and engineering personnel.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive hands-on mechanical experience, with strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience in a regulated industry, preferably in a cGMP facility.
  • Strong problem-solving and applied statistics skills, with experience in root cause analysis techniques and failure mode and effect analysis.
  • Certification in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma is preferred.
