Winter Park is renowned for its proximity to Denver and its access to expansive outdoor adventures. We are committed to providing a memorable winter experience for our guests while fostering a supportive work environment for our employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager in the coordination and efficient operation of the tubing hill and associated conveyor lift.
- Promote a culture of safety and engagement among staff and guests.
- Ensure effective ticket validation to maintain security and guest satisfaction.
- Operate the tubing conveyor lift in compliance with industry regulations.
- Support the recruitment and onboarding processes for new staff members.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Tubing Hill Crew to ensure high standards of service.
- Facilitate staff training and development, including performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as necessary.
- Handle administrative tasks related to payroll, uniform distribution, and incident documentation.
- Address and resolve guest and employee concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate any maintenance issues regarding the lift conveyor to the Manager.
- Be prepared to assist with tubing operations during peak times.
- Administer first aid and CPR when required.
- Manage inventory of snow tubes and tools, communicating needs to the Manager.
- Exhibit flexibility in adjusting schedules and operational procedures as needed.
- Assist in the overall management of the tubing operation to exceed guest expectations.
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment, making informed decisions and communicating effectively under pressure.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience in leadership or mountain operations is preferred.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with conveyor lift and snow tubing operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve safety issues effectively.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License with a clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
- Work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Comfortable navigating uneven terrain and handling heavy equipment.
- Exposure to chemicals and noise typical of a ski resort environment.
