Business Development Specialist

Our client, a leading manufacturer in the metal fabrication and tube bending space, is seeking a Business Development Representative to join their team. With over 75 years of success, they continue to thrive and expand their operations.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for client acquisition and retention, promoting the company's functions within the manufacturing industry. A strong technical or sales background in manufacturing and engineering is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:- Identify and sell new business opportunities to prospects and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Evaluate industry trends, market activities, and competitors to identify potential sales options.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, providing support, information, and guidance to recommend solutions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitors to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the company's manufacturing processes and ensure all process owners are informed of customer requirements.
- Review contracts and substantial negotiations with the President and Business Unit Manager/Sales Manager before any agreements.
- Resolve complaints and prevent additional issues by improving processes.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- College Degree
- Demonstrated sales or technical background within manufacturing and engineering
- Experience with calling on clients at the executive or decision-making level
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and internet applications
- Strong customer service, negotiation skills, and ability to interact with customers at all levels throughout their organization
- Self-starter with excellent time management, multitasking, strong problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
