About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Account Specialist to join our Respiratory Business team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with specialist customers, providing scientific knowledge and business acumen to support the growth of our respiratory portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide scientific expertise and business acumen to specialist customers in support of our respiratory products.
  • Understand the reimbursement and distribution landscape for specialist customers and identify resources to refer customers to for reimbursement and distribution choices.
  • Maintain knowledge and data on severe asthma therapeutic expertise.
  • Develop and implement strategies to generate sales and grow our respiratory portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Marketing, Payer Relations Managers, Medical, and other functions within GSK.
  • Effectively manage allocated resources and provide outstanding customer service.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, with up to 30% overnight travel.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to drive or operate a vehicle, as driving is an essential function of this role.
  • 7+ years of pharmaceutical sales or medical device sales experience for the Specialty Account Specialist role, or 15+ years of experience for the Senior Specialty Account Specialist role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in working with Payer Reimbursement Managers.
  • Biologic/Rare Disease/Respiratory Sales experience.
  • Cross-functional matrix collaboration.
  • Demonstrated consistent performance over time.
