Position Overview
The Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design at Indiana University Bloomington is on the lookout for a passionate and innovative educator to fill a full-time, tenure-track position in the Master of Architecture Program. This role is designed for an Assistant or Associate Professor who will contribute to the academic environment and uphold the values of our institution.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will engage in a variety of academic and professional activities, including but not limited to:
  • Delivering graduate-level courses in the History and Theory of Architecture and/or Urban Design.
  • Leading architectural design studios throughout the M.Arch program.
  • Maintaining a teaching load of 12 credit hours during the academic year.
  • Actively participating in scholarly research and creative endeavors, with a focus on publications, exhibitions, and symposia.
  • Contributing to the strategic planning and development of the program.
  • Serving on various committees within the program and the school.
  • Assisting with accreditation processes in collaboration with faculty and administrative staff.
  • Partnering with community organizations to enhance the program's outreach and impact.
  • Facilitating travel programs and organizing lectures and exhibitions.
  • Advising students and supporting student-led initiatives.
  • Collaborating with admissions and marketing teams to promote the program.
  • Upholding the mission and values of the Eskenazi School in all professional activities.

Qualifications
Candidates should possess a Master of Architecture or an equivalent degree, with a Ph.D. ABD in the history and theory of architecture and/or urban design. A strong design portfolio and experience in teaching architectural design and theory courses are essential. We are particularly interested in candidates who demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative teaching methods.
