Position Overview

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is actively seeking a dedicated academic general obstetrician-gynecologist to enhance the Division of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The rank and track of the position will be determined based on the candidate's academic achievements and professional experience.

Role Responsibilities

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is looking for an exceptional obstetrician-gynecologist for a full-time faculty role. This position presents a unique opportunity to broaden the Department's clinical services. Ideal candidates should be board-certified or eligible and possess a strong interest in resident education as well as direct patient care within an academic environment.

Members of the division will be responsible for supervising resident continuity clinics, managing the gynecology teaching service, and providing in-hospital gynecologic consultations. Furthermore, faculty members will play an integral role in the education of medical students.

Faculty Practice

The division operates a robust faculty practice across five outpatient locations and one labor and delivery facility. The team consists of 20 obstetrician-gynecologists, 3 gynecologists, and 7 nurse-midwives, with expertise spanning minimally invasive surgery, family planning, vulvar disease, menopause, pediatric and adolescent gynecology, and breastfeeding.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO or equivalent
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency training program
  • Licensure from the State of Ohio Medical Board
  • Board certification or eligibility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology
