Our Professional Services (PS) division collaborates with a diverse range of clients, from major financial institutions to emerging startups, tackling a variety of compelling use cases. This position involves solving complex technical challenges, gaining extensive cross-stack experience, and networking with industry leaders, all while traveling to various locations as part of your role.

MongoDB PS is dedicated to realizing our clients' visions, accelerating their time to value, and facilitating numerous adoption scenarios—from developing new solutions to modernizing existing applications or transitioning to cloud environments. Our consulting services ensure that organizations maximize their use of MongoDB.

This position offers flexibility, allowing for remote work within North America.

We seek a highly skilled individual with exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities, who is adept at working closely with clients.
Candidate Profile

  • Over 10 years of experience in software development, consulting, or support across various industries.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or Go.
  • Experience with database technologies including MongoDB, Oracle, MS SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with Linux diagnostics and tuning; knowledge of Windows tuning is advantageous.
  • Understanding of enterprise-scale software architectures, application development methodologies, and software deployment practices.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, coupled with effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • High motivation for a role that integrates deep technical expertise with customer management.
  • Confidence in presenting and communicating in collaborative client environments.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for short assignments at client sites during the workweek.
Position Expectations
  • Engage in customer implementations throughout all phases of the application lifecycle, including portfolio assessment, application design, deployment architecture, development, integration, system testing, and optimization.
  • Deliver training sessions for clients, covering architect, developer, and operations roles.
  • Collaborate with a broader delivery team, including fellow consulting engineers, project managers, and account teams.
  • Establish yourself as a trusted advisor, guiding both MongoDB and our clients into the future.
  • Work alongside Product and Engineering teams to influence the MongoDB product roadmap.
