Program Consultant will need to serve as a liaison between our operational excellence team, program management office, and compliance partners. The ideal person will have strong technical acumen, the ability to tell meaningful stories with Power BI reports, and a proven track record in project and program oversight. They will be responsible for ensuring that program work progresses efficiently through the project management process, while also identifying and addressing gaps in organizational processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaison - Act as the primary point of contact between operational excellence, program management, and government partners to ensure smooth communication and collaboration across all parties. Ensure all teams are on the same page and can communicate effectively across the lines of business.
  • Assertive Leadership - Demonstrate assertiveness in driving projects and programs forward. Ensure that all tasks are completed according to timelines, and hold team members accountable for their deliverables. In specific case, driving people to complete their responsibilities and provide training support where needed to drive work to completion.
  • Project/Program Oversight - Oversee the progress of multiple projects and programs, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies as needed. Work with the leadership to ensure the progress meets the mandate scope and tenets and report any potential changes in financial need.
  • Self-Starter - Take initiative to identify and address challenges before they become issues. Show strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Operational Excellence - Ensure that all program-related work moves efficiently through the compliance/project management lifecycle. Identify and address bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and process gaps to streamline operations. Proactively identify areas of improvement within the organization's processes and recommend solutions. Implement process changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Power BI Reporting - Develop, maintain, and present Power BI dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), project progress, and other critical metrics to stakeholders.
  • Budgeting and Financial Forecasting - Collaborate with finance teams to create, manage, and refine project budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor spending and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Technical Acumen - Work seamlessly with both technical and non-technical teams, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. Understand and translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Administrative Acumen – Able to perform intensive administrative tasks such as data entry, note taking 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant process improvement certifications (e.g., Agile, Six Sigma) is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in operational excellence, program management, consulting, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and experience with budgeting and financial forecasting.
  • Strong project and program management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with government partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement initiatives and implement change.
  • High level of technical acumen, with the ability to understand and translate complex technical information.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
