A key role in driving branch profitability and performance, this position leads and develops the branch team to maximize results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and coach branch team members to enhance overall effectiveness and accountability.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry changes and technology advancements to foster an innovative work environment.
  • Oversee all aspects of branch team management, including employment, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Promote engagement through ongoing career development plans and drive employee satisfaction.
  • Act as primary liaison for complex, escalated situations and serve as a talent management expert.
  • Foster trusting relationships with customers and associates, maintaining a positive work environment through team morale building and recognition.
  • Create brand awareness at community events and serve as a bank ambassador.
  • Seek continuous education opportunities to enhance leadership skills.
  • Lead customer-facing technology discussions and enrollments, while mentoring and training less experienced Branch Managers.
Performance Management:
  • Execute the Community Bank playbook consistently to ensure branch success.
  • Drove activities leading to consumer loan growth, including customer educational seminars, client retention calls, new client prospecting, outbound telephone calling efforts, and networking events.
  • Worked with staff to foster needs-based customer conversations through Relationship Builder coaching and observations.
  • Maintained a mature Center of Influence (COI) base of community and business leaders, leveraging them for referrals.
  • Developed partnerships with internal line of business leaders.
  • Compiled data and prepared various branch reports and management reports as assigned.
Operations:
  • Ensured adherence to safety and security procedures, serving as primary branch security contact and business continuity leader.
  • Monitored branch compliance with AML/BSA requirements, operational procedures, policy exception guidelines, audit procedures, risk/control expectations, dual control, security, and regulated banking requirements.
  • Practiced ethical sales behaviors in accordance with the Associate Code of Conduct and Sales Practices Policy.
  • Functioned in any capacity within the branch as needed, up to and including Teller, Client Advisor, and Teller Manager roles.
  • Managed the branch budget, including scorecards, branch profit, income, and expenses.
  • Implemented strategies to improve revenue generation while managing costs.
  • Responsible for facility management and branch security, including ATM, Drive-Thru, Branch Building, and Aesthetics.
  • Conducted annual awareness training with team members to familiarize them with response strategies and recovery action plans.
Business Development/Credit Acumen:
  • Sourced Treasury Management solutions and services and small business lending needs.
  • Had a comprehensive understanding of all consumer products and services, with a strong emphasis on consumer lending.
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of small business deposit and lending products and services.
  • Analyzed and structured small business credit facilities to meet customer needs.
  • Participated in joint sales calls with line of business partners.
  • Had a complete understanding of all consumer credit facilities, including structuring proper terms and products based on customer need.
