Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Manager to join our team at Wood River Federal. The successful candidate will play a critical role in promoting and enhancing the Accessibility Program at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies to advance the Accessibility Program at CMS.
  • Collaborate with CMS components across multiple organizations to identify, prioritize, and address business requirements.
  • Craft communication solutions that facilitate better decision-making and contribute to the organization's progress.
  • Coordinate project plans for CMS communication and outreach materials, including schedule and milestone tracking.
  • Assist in the development and enhancement of policies and procedures on methods to conduct ongoing communications and outreach to internal and external CMS stakeholders.
  • Generate presentation materials, author communications materials, and create documentation, including training materials and application end-user support.
  • Lead multiple projects, focusing on communication planning and implementation.
  • Develop communication roadmaps for program activities and publishing messaging.
  • Foster collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
  • Perform post-project analysis to derive lessons learned and enhancement strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications Management required, Master's preferred.
  • Effective in researching, compiling, analyzing, and interpreting information to identify solutions, project costs, and consequences.
  • Knowledge of Project Management and communication mediums (digital and social media) principles, theories, practices, and operational characteristics.
  • Proficient in MS Word, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Visio, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to effectively edit documentation and develop content.
  • Develop and conduct in-person, online, and blended training.
  • High-level knowledge of healthcare plans and services.
