Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of Miami Health System. As a Per Diem Registered Nurse, you will provide patient-centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments and document patient interactions and general observations, adhering to unit standards and considering age and cultural factors.
- Administer and maintain accurate records related to medications and treatments, ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate the plan of care effectively and timely to patients, families, and team members.
- Participate in the development of policies, procedures, and standards of care, examining and questioning treatments to ensure best practices.
- Represent nurses by actively participating in committees and task forces.
- Manage own work and time, prioritizing assignments to ensure timely completion.
- Adapt to changing work demands and environment, anticipating potential problems and assisting nurse leaders in developing contingency plans.
- Evaluate other staff in the provision of care, providing concise and constructive feedback to employees and leadership.
- Serve as a preceptor to students and new staff, as needed.
- Assume Charge Nurse or Resource Nurse responsibilities when needed.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree (BSN) preferred.
- Valid Florida Registered Nurse License, ACLS, and BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, 4 years preferred, with Cardiovascular/Cath Lab/Critical Care experience preferred.
