+ Role Summary
We are looking for an IT Support Specialist to join our IT and Cybersecurity Team. This role is vital in providing technical assistance to both internal and external users. The ideal candidate will support the existing IT Team by troubleshooting and delivering Tier 1 and 2 support. We seek a proactive and adaptable individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position will report directly to the Director of Cybersecurity.
+ Key Responsibilities
- Address various end-user IT requests, including Tier 1 and 2 troubleshooting:
- Hardware: Desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers
- Software: Windows, Office, and other organizational applications
- Network: Connectivity and Wi-Fi issues
- SaaS: Web-based solutions utilized by the organization
- Escalate troubleshooting efforts to Tier 3 for resolution.
- Manage the commissioning and decommissioning of equipment and user accounts:
- Image and configure new devices and user profiles.
- Backup data from devices of departing users.
- Log, track, update, maintain, and dispose of IT assets.
- Coordinate initial responses to IT and Cybersecurity service provider alerts.
- Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to address security alerts, mitigate threats, and minimize risks.
- Document standard operating procedures for IT functions (hardware, software, cloud/SaaS).
- Assist in creating documentation and training materials for end-user device operations.
- Issue new employee and vendor access badges.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
+ Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in an IT support capacity.
- Associate's degree in information technology or a related field, or two years of relevant work experience.
- CompTIA certification is preferred.
- Experience as a Windows Administrator for Windows 10, 2016, 2019.
- Proficient in managing and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 and Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
- Experience with MS Office 365 troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems is a plus.
- Experience with virtualization technologies.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and HP Print Server management.
- Ability to set up and configure HP laptops/desktops.
- Basic understanding of networking technologies including routers, switches, and Wi-Fi.
- Familiarity with network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and DHCP.
- Experience with administering and securing cloud services/applications in AWS, GCS, and/or Azure is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
- Able to work efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must be available to work on-site as required.
