We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Oncology Veterinary Technician to join our Radiation Oncology team at UT Southwestern Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional cancer care to canine and feline patients.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality cancer care to patients under the supervision of our experienced oncologists.
- Assist in the delivery of cancer care, including medicine, surgery, and radiology.
- Work closely with our radiation oncology team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear explanations of diagnostics and procedures performed on their pets.
- Coordinate and submit samples to external laboratories, ensuring accurate and timely test results.
- Strictly adhere to regulatory guidelines, especially concerning the handling and administration of chemotherapies.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and collaborate with medical doctors to drive advancements in veterinary care.
- High School diploma or equivalent, and five years' experience working with animals in a clinical or research setting.
- Completion of a veterinary technology program or equivalent.
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred.
