As a Senior Fiber Optic Installation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding installation experiences, addressing service interruptions, and maintaining our high-quality standards as we strive to expand our service footprint.
Your contributions will include:- Locating, repairing, and maintaining fiber optic services for residential and commercial clients.
- Understanding and executing fiber splicing tasks according to established procedures.
- Interpreting construction plans and splice diagrams.
- Installing fiber optic connections in various settings.
- Validating and testing service provisioning for network connections.
- Mentoring and guiding junior technicians as needed.
- Resolving issues during installations and scheduled service visits.
- Conducting audits and inspections of newly completed network projects.
- Completing work orders and necessary documentation accurately.
- Assisting in the deployment of additional network infrastructure.
- Ensuring a positive experience for all Gateway Fiber customers.
It is essential to communicate any obstacles that may hinder work progress and assist in resolving them.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
- Punctuality and adherence to the company dress code.- Proven ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Advanced skills in TCP/IP configuration and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
- Valid Class D Driver's License required.
Physical requirements include the ability to stand and walk for extended periods, climb stairs while carrying materials, and travel to various job sites in varying weather conditions.
