Job Title: Production Technician

EssilorLuxottica Group is seeking a skilled Production Technician to join our team. As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for assembling new equipment to stated specifications and adhering to standard operating procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, as well as excellent communication skills and the ability to work on simultaneous projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble all versions of Ultra Optics equipment for customers' use under limited supervision.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment by installing all needed software and performing test procedures.
  • Perform final inspection and validation of all equipment. Set up equipment based on customer specifications.
  • Repair and recondition used equipment and perform other shop responsibilities.
  • Achieve and maintain work standards to stated specifications.
  • Continually review and improve processes to simplify jobs.
  • Maintain work area in a neat, clean and organized condition.
  • Understand and follow all company and manufacturer's policies and procedures and ensure compliance of all attendance & safety rules and regulations. Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and HIPAA protected information.
  • Willingly assist others as necessary to keep work current, meet deadlines or maintain an even workload. Cooperate with other coworkers and demonstrate a good attitude. Perform an acceptable quantity and quality of work on time as required.
  • Provide proper training, work direction, and technical guidance for less experienced coworkers. Attend in-house or company-sponsored training meetings when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • This position has exposure to one or more hazardous substances/chemicals that require safety training.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of mechanical assembly experience
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work on simultaneous projects
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job, including close vision.
