Healthcare Patient Coordinator | Radiology Imaging Associates
Reporting to the Practice Director of RIA Endovascular

Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) comprises a team of over 100 highly skilled radiologists, many of whom are fellowship-trained in their respective specialties. Our commitment lies in delivering precise and efficient diagnoses for patients, regardless of their medical conditions. Our interventional radiologists are at the forefront of advanced treatment methodologies, collaborating with primary care physicians and hospitals across multiple states to enhance patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and register patients upon arrival
  • Organize and manage appointments and procedures
  • Verify insurance details and collect copayments
  • Address inquiries from patients and referring offices, providing direct responses or escalating as necessary
  • Escort patients to examination rooms as required
  • Upload radiology images into the Intelleviewer system
  • Assist patients with financial concerns by directing them to appropriate resources
  • Communicate with referring physician offices to gather orders and relay essential information
  • Support the billing department by collecting necessary patient information and ensuring accurate insurance documentation
  • Discuss insurance coverage and anticipated service costs with patients
  • Draft and/or transcribe various correspondence, memos, and reports within specified timelines
  • Retrieve procedure and office visit documentation
  • Perform various administrative tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 2-3 years of experience in a medical office setting preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology
  • Ability to quickly learn and comprehend Interventional Radiology procedures
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Compensation ranges from $18.50 to $22.50 per hour.

Radiology Imaging Associates provides a robust benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, paid time off, and holiday pay for eligible employees. Additional options for voluntary benefits, such as supplemental life insurance and a 401(k) retirement plan, are also available. Full-time employees become eligible for benefits on the first day of the month following 30 days of employment.
