Key Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, delivering exceptional and responsive service to both employees and management.
  • Develop and sustain a comprehensive understanding of our personnel, operations, and organizational culture.
  • Ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, FLSA, ADAA, and EEO.
  • Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, preparing offer letters, and conducting background checks, while ensuring compliance with FCC/EEO standards.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all necessary tasks and documentation are completed in a timely manner.
  • Support employee relations initiatives, including investigating concerns and complaints.
  • Administer leaves of absence in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Maintain proficiency in our cloud-based HRIS (Oracle) and provide guidance to managers and staff on various HRIS functionalities.
  • Assist in the administration of employee benefits, including Open Enrollment processes and necessary audits.
  • Respond to unemployment claims, workers' compensation inquiries, and employment verification requests.
  • Support management with routine reporting tasks.
  • Interpret and implement company policies and collective bargaining agreements.
  • Maintain confidential electronic HR records for all personnel.
  • Assist in organizing team training sessions and morale-boosting events.
  • Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in an HR Generalist role.
  • Experience in labor relations is preferred.
  • Proven experience with HRIS systems, preferably cloud-based.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment in sensitive situations.
  • A positive attitude and a strong commitment to fulfilling job responsibilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Independent judgment to effectively plan and prioritize workload.
  • Professional experience in the broadcasting industry is a plus.
