We are currently seeking a licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to spearhead our Survey division at our office in Irvine, CA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and oversee field survey personnel.
  • Coordinate and manage surveying and construction staking initiatives in collaboration with our site design team.
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of survey projects and construction layouts, ensuring alignment with project objectives and standards.
  • Identify and cultivate marketing opportunities for new projects while preparing cost estimates.
  • Draft contracts and change orders, along with evaluating legal descriptions and title documents.
  • Design and draft survey plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D, ensuring compliance with raSmith standards and local regulations.
  • Execute field survey tasks, including data collection and boundary evidence searches, while performing construction staking as needed until additional staff is onboarded.
  • Develop, review, and finalize survey deliverables across a variety of services, including Mapping Services, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Boundary Surveys, and Utility Easements.

  • Competitive salary range: $110,000 - $130,000+, commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Surveying.
  • A minimum of 10 years of extensive experience in land surveying and construction staking.
  • Possession of a California Land Surveyor license or licensure in another state with the capability to obtain a California license within six months.
  • In-depth knowledge of California survey laws and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Newforma, and Microsoft Office Suite for all survey-related tasks and civil design plan interpretation.
