Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Technician to join our team at Dexian. As an IT Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the technical computing infrastructure within our business, ensuring the wellbeing of our computing infrastructure, including networks, computers, operating systems, data storage, security, and help desk-related functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and install new equipment and systems, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
  • Maintain and configure equipment used for on-site and off-site locations, guaranteeing optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and system issues, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Restore files and data when necessary, adhering to our strict data protection policies.
  • Develop and provide training solutions, including documentation of systems and procedures, to ensure our staff is equipped to use our technology effectively.
  • Provide basic systems orientation to new staff members, ensuring a smooth onboarding process.
  • Troubleshoot and repair network issues, including LAN hardware and connectivity, to maintain a stable and secure network environment.
  • Perform hardware repairs and preventive maintenance, ensuring our equipment is in top working condition.
  • Monitor systems resources and usage, analyzing performance levels and identifying potential issues to prevent downtime.
  • Maintain backups and contingency plans, monitoring user activity and disk space to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Collaborate with external consultants and vendors when necessary, overseeing the completion of their work and ensuring it meets our standards.
  • Research, evaluate, develop, and implement solutions for users in response to inquiries or demonstrated needs, ensuring our technology meets the evolving needs of our business.
  • Define project scopes for enhancements to software and hardware systems, including task lists, timelines, and budgets, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct end-to-end project management, overseeing projects from initiation to completion and ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum two years of IT Technician experience, with a proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Windows 10-11, O365, Adobe, and some TCP/IP, with a strong understanding of network protocols and systems.
  • Proven ability to work with limited supervision, dealing with demanding users in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
  • Ability to travel to sites in your area to resolve problems that cannot be solved remotely, with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED, with a strong foundation in computer science and technology.
Preferred
  • Associate degree in a related field, such as computer science or information technology.
