Job Summary

As a maintenance technician at a major venue, you will be essential in ensuring the efficient operation of all facilities.

  • Repair and maintain food service equipment, including but not limited to ovens, grills, fryers, refrigerators, freezers, and beverage dispensers.
  • Make adjustments and repairs to heating, refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct regular inspections and troubleshoot issues related to refrigeration, plumbing, and electrical systems throughout the venue.
  • Communicate with management and teams regarding the need for significant repairs or enhancements to building operating systems.
  • Order supplies and equipment necessary for repairs and maintenance.
  • Monitor, address, and escalate any plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and other issues that arise to the Facilities Director.
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment and coordinate ordering as needed.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your team.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a technician's certificate in HVAC, including the EPA Section 608 certification, and any certifications required by state and local regulations.
  • Successful completion of a four-year apprenticeship program in an approved HVAC program and/or 3 years of proven experience as an HVAC technician.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance within a large venue preferred.
  • Previous experience and knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repairs; familiarity with culinary equipment and food service operations.
  • Event-based scheduling, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Physical Demands
  • Frequent lifting and transporting of items up to 60 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks that may involve lifting, climbing, and operating machinery.
  • Frequent and/or constant standing and walking.
  • Environmental exposure includes dust, chemicals, allergens, outdoor weather elements, HVAC, and potential electrical hazards associated with a large venue environment.
