About the Role

This is a critical position that requires a strong partnership with the business to develop and execute people initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving hiring processes, managing employee relations, and executing HR projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Coordinate and implement the hiring process, working closely with hiring managers to identify departmental needs, source and screen candidates, and extend job offers.
  • Employee Relations: Partner with EHS to proactively address safety culture improvements and manage Workers Compensation claims. Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints or concerns, making recommendations on resolution and drafting comprehensive reports.
  • Leave Management: Manage the leave of absence process, guiding employees on benefits, documenting and certifying leaves, and partnering with managers to plan for employee return to work.
  • HR Projects: Execute assigned projects, including merit reviews, Workday audits, and compliance training. Consult with managers on personnel-related issues, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
  • Employee Engagement: Facilitate new employee orientation, lead employee engagement initiatives, and prepare organizational communications.
  • HR Administration: Maintain HR files and records, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy of employee information.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of increasing Human Resources experience, preferably in mid to large size manufacturing organizations.
  • Customer-focused, proactive, positive, and driven to achieve departmental and corporate goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong consultative skills and ability to partner with managers/professionals to understand needs and deliver solutions.
  • Experience in recruiting, employee development, employee relations, training, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
  • Track record of investigating and resolving employee relations issues.
  • Knowledge of employment laws, including Federal and California Leave Laws.
