About the Position:
Men's Basketball Associate Coach:
The Associate Coach plays a pivotal role in providing mentorship and support to student-athletes, aiding them in reaching their utmost potential within a competitive framework. Furthermore, the Associate Coach collaborates closely with the Head Coach in various facets of the program.
- Employs effective instructional methods during game preparation and practices
- Assists in strategic decision-making during competitions
- Supervises strength and conditioning initiatives
- Assesses student-athletes' performance
- Ensures a safe environment for student-athletes
- Contributes to game strategies and in-game modifications
- Coordinates scouting efforts and opponent evaluations
- Supports recruitment strategies and content creation
Required Qualifications:
- Advanced degree or equivalent professional experience
- Prior coaching experience at the collegiate level or a professional playing background
- Familiarity with NCAA and Conference regulations
- Strong comprehension of basketball rules and tactics
- Capability to formulate recruitment strategies
- Exceptional communication skills
- Leadership qualities
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in NCAA Division I coaching
- Proven track record in recruitment
