About the Role:

Erlanger Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients of all ages.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and treat mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling, psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication.
  • Provide clinical services to patients at the facility, adhering to medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, corporate, facility policy, or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing various psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services, and information in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years' postgraduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
  • Board certification in psychiatry.
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.

Our hospital operates a network of behavioral healthcare facilities with approximately 11,000 beds in 39 states and Puerto Rico, serving approximately 70,000 patients daily.

We provide psychiatric and chemical dependency services to our patients in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, specialty treatment facilities, residential treatment centers, outpatient clinics, and therapeutic school-based programs.
