Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician PRN to join our team at Parkridge Valley Hospital. As a Mental Health Technician PRN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, comprehensive patient care in a therapeutic milieu. Your expertise in mental health promotion and maintenance will be essential in ensuring the well-being of our patients.

Responsibilities:

* Escort patients to and from scheduled activities in a safe and professional manner
* Perform all specific skills assigned, including monitoring vital signs in a complete and accurate manner
* Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the unit
* Maintain high-level interpersonal relationships with program staff
* Utilize appropriate skills in telephone etiquette when answering the telephone, making sure to record correct messages and pass along to appropriate staff, including patient inquiries
* Demonstrate efficiency in maintaining support services, which are vital to effective program operation
* Maintain unit filing and paperwork system, if assigned by Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse
* Assist with maintaining patients' activities of daily living
* Demonstrate ability to maintain a safe environment
* Documentation of observations and baseline measurements in the medical record

Requirements:

* Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
* Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
* Drivers License
* High School Graduate / GED
