Job Title: Psychiatrist

At Erlanger Behavioral Health, we are seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Psychiatrist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling, psychoanalysis, hospitalization, and/or medication. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong foundation in psychiatry and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical services to patients at the facility, including diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses.
  • Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or procedures.
  • Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
  • Evaluate patients for mental, emotional, or behavioral disorders.
  • Treat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
  • Review and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years' postgraduate degree practice preferred.
  • Licensed in the state in which the facility(s) operate.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Board certification in psychiatry.
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
