Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Behavioral Health Front Desk Representative to join our team. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for greeting patients, registering them, and ensuring that all necessary information is collected and updated.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and register them in a timely and efficient manner
  • Collect and update patient information, including demographic and insurance data
  • Schedule patient appointments and assist with patient inquiries
  • Collect and post payments, and assist with patient billing questions
  • Ensure completion of all encounter documentation prior to check out
  • Accept transfers from other facilities according to established guidelines
  • Schedule patients with appropriate providers, answer phones, and respond within time frames defined by departmental guidelines
  • Obtain complete and accurate patient registration information according to department standards
  • Review and confirm all registration information is accurate at each appointment and make any required updates
  • Consistently review cancellation, displaced patients, and appointment requests worklist throughout the day
  • Review daily schedules for availability and coordinate with onsite supervisor to ensure providers' schedules are at capacity

Requirements:

  • High School or Equivalent
  • 1 year - Office Related
  • Customer service, interpersonal, critical thinking
  • Written and verbal communication
  • Works independently and with a team
  • Organization, administrative and clerical skills
