Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth research on potential donors, including their employment history, community involvement, and philanthropic interests.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect management data, ensuring seamless integration with our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with advancement units to identify and refer prospects for qualification of major giving potential.
  • Deliver targeted prospecting lists to support fundraising initiatives, utilizing research resources and analysis to determine the most effective referrals.
  • Build strong relationships with advancement clients through prompt, thorough, and accurate service, including scheduling portfolio review sessions and attending team meetings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with general online research techniques, methodology, and resources.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to formulate productive partnerships with individuals and groups at all levels of University staff.
  • Experience with database maintenance and retrieval, as well as proficiency in SQL, Blackbaud CRM, and other analytical tools.
  • Competency in using Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in the Advancement or non-profit sector, or experience in prospect or business development, marketing, and consumer marketing trends.
  • Results-driven, fast learner who is self-motivated and can concurrently manage and reprioritize multiple projects.
