Job Summary

The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) is seeking a highly skilled Acquisition Manager to join our team in the Executive Office (EXO), Construction Engineering Research Laboratory (CERL).

This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of Federal procurement processes, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) based acquisition and non-FAR based acquisition. The successful candidate will serve as a principal member of the CERL EXO, providing primary support to the acquisition activities of our cutting-edge Army science and engineering research and development laboratory.

The Acquisition Manager will be responsible for providing strategic acquisition planning for Federal scientific research and development programs, developing and maintaining a sound acquisition structure, and collaborating with researchers, program managers, and other laboratory personnel in the development of acquisition strategies and documentation.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of procurement experience within the Federal Government, including roles such as Contracting Officer, Contracting Specialist, Procurement Analyst, or Contracting Officer Representative. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field is a plus.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for STRL Mission Support Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
