Job Summary

As a Patient Access Representative II at Conifer Health Solutions, you will play a vital role in supporting departmental efficiencies by performing scheduling, registration, patient pre-admission and admission, reception and discharge functions. You will be responsible for obtaining complete and accurate patient demographic information and employing proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques before, during & after date of service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greeting Customers: Provide world-class customer service, greeting customers following Conifer Standards of Care.
  • Registration and Scheduling: Complete full patient registration at date of service, adhere to financial & cash control policies & procedures, and thoroughly explain and secure Hospital & patient legal forms.
  • Financial Clearance: Educate patients about patient financial liabilities, employ proper, compliant patient liability collection techniques, and perform Hospital cash reconciliation & secured payment entry in adherence to financial & cash control policies & procedures.
  • Medical Necessity Checks: Secure medical necessity checks/verification in accordance to Centers for Medicare & Medicaid services, verify insurance, benefits, coverage & eligibility, and complete assigned registration financial clearance work lists activities.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: 0 – 1 year in a Customer Service role and 0 – 1 year administrative experience in a medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
  • Skills: Minimum typing skills of 35 wpm, demonstrated working knowledge of PC/CRT/printer, and knowledge of function and relationships within a hospital environment preferred.
