Automobile Refinish Specialist

We are seeking an Automobile Refinish Specialist to join our team at our Westborough, MA location. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading retailer of used cars and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

As an Automobile Refinish Specialist, you will be responsible for completing cosmetic inspections, final quality inspections, and vehicle cleaning, paint touch-up, wet sanding, and buffing of CarMax used, new, and customer vehicles according to CarMax standards.

You will also be responsible for performing various cosmetic reconditioning, cleaning, and repair processes, including paint touch up, wet sanding, and buffing according to CarMax standards. Additionally, you will complete Cosmetic Inspections and Final Quality Inspections, ensuring workplace cleanliness and organization in accordance with CarMax 5S standards.

• Execute standardized work processes as defined at established pace time
• Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities with the team
• Perform various cosmetic reconditioning, cleaning, and repair processes
• Complete Cosmetic Inspections and Final Quality Inspections

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Complete all training online and hands-on, including KRONOS Training for Hourly Associates
• Accountable to Associate 1 Competency Model
• Meet Reconditioning Associate and Reconditioning I Performance Standards
• Successful completion of Reconditioning Associate, Reconditioning Associate I and II Workstation Certifications
• Ability to read, interpret, and transcribe data to maintain accurate records
• Ability to perform manual tasks at a specific pace for a specific period of time
• Ability to lift objects that weigh as much as 50lbs

This role requires working in an indoor and outdoor environment, which may include working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions. You must be able to walk or stand for extended periods of time and wear CarMax clothing (acquired through the company) at all times while working in the store.

We follow all CarMax, O.S.H.A., and EPA standards, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment and proper waste disposal in required areas.

The estimated salary for this role is $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
