Position Summary:

The Customer Sales Lead will spearhead the creation and execution of joint business strategies for the Campbell's Meals and Beverages sectors at the customer level.

This role entails proactively overseeing, assessing, and refining the comprehensive business strategy to achieve all volume, profit, and market share targets.

The individual will be accountable for executing our brand strategies and initiatives in collaboration with the Customer, engaging closely with key decision-makers and employing category management strategies to influence customer choices.

This position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates located in specific regions.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the collaborative business planning process and annual strategic initiatives with the Customer.
  • Utilize our sales planning tools and customer systems to develop optimal strategies.
  • Formulate and execute trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customer.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to analyze promotional performance and leverage insights for future opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain accurate monthly forecasts to enhance supply chain efficiencies by monitoring shipments, consumption data, and inventory fluctuations.
  • Oversee deduction balances and assess post-audit results.
  • Conduct category business reviews, utilizing loyalty and syndicated data to discuss business status, consumer trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Effectively utilize Category Management resources and loyalty data.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Campbell brand strategies and implement them by collaborating with key customer decision-makers.
  • Facilitate the introduction of new products, working with customer personnel to ensure optimal distribution.
  • Monitor the success of new product launches and provide recommendations for performance enhancement.
  • Collaborate with Shopper Marketing resources to develop and execute joint marketing initiatives aligned with brand and customer strategies.
  • Identify and pursue profitable opportunities for incremental volume growth.
  • Manage enhancements to our Meals and Beverage portfolio on the customer's digital platforms to drive e-commerce growth.

Job Complexity:
  • Evaluate the Customer's competitive landscape by category and strategies to align with our company's strategic objectives and determine the best investment approach.
  • Establish productive relationships with key decision-makers within the Customer's organization.
  • Manage multiple critical customer interactions.
  • Administer trade funding in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Engage in extensive cross-functional collaboration within the customer team and with internal headquarters personnel due to the complexity and strategic significance of the Customer.
  • Possess a working knowledge of syndicated databases and the technical skills to leverage this data effectively.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of P&L management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in CPG Industry Sales and/or Category Management
  • Strong problem-solving abilities

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $85,900 and $140,800. Individual base pay is influenced by work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
