About the Role

Arbeit Consulting is seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive service solutions to commercial kitchen and hospitality clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Clients: Collaborate with restaurant and hospitality managers to offer tailored service solutions for commercial cooking, refrigeration, ware-washing, and other specialty food service equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment: Demonstrate your mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and ability to read diagrams and schematics to properly diagnose and repair Commercial Kitchen Equipment.
  • Communicate with Manufacturers: Communicate with manufacturers as needed to help with diagnoses and parts identification.
  • Install and Maintain Equipment: Install all parts ordered for the customer in a timely and professional manner and line with company policy.
  • Consult with Technical Assistance Group: Consult with the Technical Assistance Group for technical support while onsite.
  • Promote Additional Services: Promote and recommend other services provided by Smart Care to customers when needed.
  • Administrative Tasks: Produce accurate and timely administrative documents, such as work orders, time reporting, receipts, and truck stock inventory.
  • Safe Work Practices: Follow safe work practices and accident prevention procedures.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain a neat and orderly service vehicle, along with accurate parts and tool inventory.
  • Productivity: Maintain productivity levels in accordance with company standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 1 year of technical experience with refrigeration, appliance repair, kitchen equipment, HVAC, or relevant military service.
  • License: Valid drivers license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
  • Availability: Willingness and ability to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that includes nights and weekends.
  • Travel: Availability for occasional overnight travel as assigned.
