About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide monitoring and oversight of participant's medical care, ensuring their needs are met and promoting optimum health and reduction of potential injury.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor the health and well-being of participants according to OPWDD regulations
  • Provide ongoing training on infection control, blood-borne pathogens, signs and symptoms of illness, and medical needs and medications
  • Attend meetings in the community as an Agency representative
  • Maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations
  • Obtain medical services for all participants and assist with coordinating services with medical personnel and other Agencies
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse, licensed in New York State
  • Two years of experience with people with disabilities preferred
  • Ability to work independently and use personal and professional discretion in implementing new approaches and problem-solving
  • Valid NYS driver's license and ability to transport participants as needed
